Decorative corbels for under sills, or as wall accents. Initially used for structural support, corbels are now purely decorative. Corbels can be installed sparingly to act as unique architectural focal points or installed in a patterned array. Polyurethane corbels look similar to classical carved-stone corbels but are just a fraction of the weight and the cost. Consider using non-organic polyurethane corbels in lieu of wood corbels on exterior surfaces to prevent rot, mold and insect infestation. Corbels are also known as a Mensola, Kraastein, Modillon, Dougong or Bracket.
